My Interview with Taraji P. Henson at 'What Men Want' Premiere
Updated: Feb 26, 2019
This weekend was a pretty big one for Taraji P. Henson, as her new film What Men Want hit theaters nationwide.
With a production cost of about $20 million, What Men Want earned $19 million over the weekend and about $6.6 million on opening night. While not the highest number we’ve ever seen for a romantic comedy, it’s an overall much better response than Taraji’s last theater film, Proud Mary which hit at only $9.9 million on opening weekend.
The movie is a gender swapping remake of Nancy Meyers’ 2000 romantic comedy, What Women Want starring Mel Gibson. In the new film, Taraji’s character has the ability to read men’s thoughts.
The Oscar nominee and movie director, Adam Shankman were a joy to speak with on the films opening night in Taraji’s hometown, Washington DC. Check out Moments N Melanin's Exclusive Interviews below!
